There is composure and calm here as the wine opens with a glimpse of white peach and pear notes. Slowly the nose builds in intensity, offering a little aniseed, counterbalanced by a soft buttery note. This is a wine that you have to go to but each investigation gives a new element to consider. There is a fine thread running through the wine, excellent depth from the old vines and extra length that truly shows the quality. A very great Bienvenues from a vineyard on a fine run of form.
