Reviews & Scores

(51% merlot and 49% cabernet franc): Bright ruby-red. Initially reduced black cherry, violet, cocoa and licorice aromas became more perfumed with aeration. Sweet and dense but medicinal and a bit clenched today, with dominant flavors of spicy black cherry and dark chocolate. The wine's dominant cabernet franc personality makes this hard to judge presently. Finishes with supple tannins and very good length. This will need time to smooth out, but I think it will be another considerable success for Guinaudeau.
Score: 87-89 Points
