Just under 1 hectare of this prized vineyard, it has virtually no soil but is comprised of crumbly limestone. The wine is coiled and saline, with a chalky, smoky complexity over the dark crunchy mineral depths, black tea and pure, driven acidity. Very long, complex and beautifully structured. Very moreish! Le Difese offers a taste of the estate behind Sassicaia immediately on release. The name is a local term for the tusks of a wild boar.
