Stretching over 650ha and involving around 300 growers, Cantina Sociale Terre del Barolo, is one of the most regarded producers in the area. They think about themselves as a family of smallholders, working together to treasure one of the most prized terroirs in Italy – the misty hills of Barolo. An initiative that was born in 1958 and that allowed many vignerons from having to abandon their land, ensuring their work would be rewarded with respect, dignity and prestige. Terre del Barolo now crafts some of the purest, terroir-driven wines in the region – an absolute must-have for any Nebbiolo lover.
“A darker, more structured Barolo than his sibling, Prapo’ is an incredibly pure expression of the terroir of Serralunga. Precise notes of red and black berries, forest floor and dark spices are framed by tight woven tannins and lively freshness. An exciting release that has the potential to be enjoyed for the next 10 years.” Armit Winesmore
