In 2003 Laurence Graff OBE acquired the Avantuur estate in Stellenbosch, he set to create one of the leading South African wine estates. From the high-altitude terraces, located on the steep slopes of Botmaskop Mountain and frequently cooled by Atlantic breezes, the estate can count on impeccable grapes that carry the intensity of fruit that is the hallmark of Delaire Graff wines. The blend consists of 95% Tempranillo from 40-year-old vines in Las Cuevas, El Palo and Las Monjas in Rodezno, complemented with 5% Graciano from the Montecillo estate in Fuenmayor.
