Frequently cited as punching above its weight in the classification stakes, this 5eme Cru classe has a complicated history, not unusual given the inheritance laws in France. Francois Xavier now sits at the helm and undertook an extensive programme of investment, innovation and renovation. The wines have seen a serious upturn after the doldrums of the early part of the 20th century and now deserve the widespread acclaim they have achieved.
