This historic 15 hectare estate is without question the finest red wine estate in the Côte de Beaune. TASTING NOTES

A ripe, leesy cuvée this year with roasted almond and tangerine fruit. This is full and beautifully textured, rather soft and plush and immediately appealing. Drink from 2008.

The village Chablis comes from several parcels all of which add intensity and character to the wine. The 2017 has an aromatic bouquet of white flowers with a vibrant palate of green apples balanced by an energetic mineral freshness and a hint of white pepper. Perfect from release. Armit Wines

TASTING NOTES

The 2013 vintage was very difficult vintage to manage, with a heavily reduced crop after the hail. This superb White Burgundy has a lovely perfume, and very Puligny-Montrachet in style. TASTING NOTES

Sheltered by the great monoliths of Solutré and Vergisson, the terraced slopes of Pouilly-Fuissé produce some of the greatest whites in Burgundy. The appellation extends across four communes: Solutré-Pouilly, Fuissé, Chaintré and Vergisson. The clay and limestone terroir of Vergisson gives these wines a particularly complex character. Armit Wines

Appealing and expressive, this wine has a pretty bouquet of white flowers with a hint of acacia honey and dried fruits. On the palate, succulent white peach and stone fruit characters are balanced by a chalky mineral quality which gives a sense of controlled elegance.

TASTING NOTES

Taillepieds can be severe and aloof and while this wine certainly has grandeur and old fashioned masculinity, it also manages to show dexterity and precision. Very much a wine of the soils rather than the fruits, notes of gunflint and crushed rock dominate the palate with gentle spiciness providing a counterpoint. Serious and noble with a long future ahead. Drink...
