STONY HILL VINEYARDS

Stony Hill is one of the oldest wineries in the Napa Valley at the northernmost part of Spring Mountain. Little has changed here in the sixty-three years since the McCrea family bought this rugged former goat farm on the steep mountain overlooking Mount Helena: same family ownership; same winemaker for forty-two years; no fancy tasting room; no new oak; and no malolactic fermentation. They make tiny volumes of mostly Chardonnay in a very traditional style.
