Matured in oak barrels for 12 months, the Valmaggiore is a deliciously complex wine with a wonderful bouquet of sweet raspberry and blackberry fruits intermingled with notes of violets and roses with hints of sweet tobacco and dried citrus fruits. The palate is vibrant and refreshing with juicy cassis and damson fruits balanced by silky smooth tannins. Made from old vines and sourced from a prestigious cru in the Roero region, which is a perfect terroir for Nebbiolo, this wine has the flavour and style of a fine Barolo. Very elegant and perfectly integrated, it will also age well.
