Aromas of gooseberry, guava, grapefruit and melon, while the palate is balanced by fine acidity and fruit sweetness. A wine with great aromatic power.more
The Haut Lieu Sec opens with inviting aromas of yellow pear-skin, hints of preserved lemon and green herbs, with a white flower fragrance. This cool freshness follows onto the palate, giving way to yellow plum and crunchy green apple alongside slate and chalk elements. A bright, crisp and very elegant Haut Lieu Sec.
Already has the lanolin character very prominently on the nose, then fairly light-bodied fruit with a ripe, tropical citrus character, plus a bit of peach. Perhaps a little brief, but has lovely typical Chenin funkiness. 13%.Drink 2017-2022

Yellow with green hues; clean and bright. This wine particularly stands out for its great aromatic intensity, with marked hints of stone fruit (peaches) and white fruit (ripe apples and quinces) against a citrus background of lemon tree leaves. Big, flavoursome and fresh in the mouth, with a well-integrated acidity. Fruity and particularly persistent finish.
