Tasting Notes

Made from Nebbiolo grapes grown on one of the most historic vineyards in Neive, the 2008 is elegant and complex with sweet plum and cassis aromas, intermingled with prunes, dried fruits and herbs. On the palate, ripe, soft fruit is balanced by fine tannins and delicate mineral notes. This is a beguiling and wonderfully expressive wine which opens up in the glass. Surprisingly attractive now, it will continue to develop over a long time. Drink from 2015 to 2030 and beyond.

Reviews & Scores

Pretty blueberry, black cherry, jam and liquorice on the nose. Slightly earthy palate with a good structure of natural acidity and tannins at the end. It has a delicate tar and liquorice finish. Elegant. Drink: 2012-2017

TASTING NOTES

A very promising vintage, and the conditions helped the Arneis to retain excellent freshness and tension. There is that distinctive salinity, true to the sandy soil of the Roero region, while the palate is a subtle balance of creaminess with an energetic lemony acidity.

TASTING NOTES

This was a late vintage; the Barbera has an earthy and generous character. A solid wine, gastronomic and generous with a soft tannic structure.

A focused and distinct nose, closed and earthy, expressing fresh truffles and some savoury and balsamic tones. Complex and charming palate. Firm, gritty tannins. Solid and full bodied, warm with a generous finish combined with a delicate freshness. A complete wine, gastronomic and epicurean.
