Tasting Notes

A lovely, fresh, elegant nose very pretty and floral in aromatics but with considerable depth. On the palate, exotic notes of candied citrus, passion fruit and ripe stone fruits emerge. Very concentrated and rich but with an excellent lifted finish and truly impressive length. 93% Semillon: 7% Sauvignon Blanc. Drink 2014-2030+ 17.5

Reviews & Scores

Decanter: As in 2008, a triumph! Glorious fruit content, nobility of body, balance, taste and aftertaste, perfect precise winemaking, immense future. Is it the best since 1899 or 1928? I say yes, without any doubt! 19

TASTING NOTES

This offers clean citrus peel and dried apricot character, with light lavender and honey notes. Medium-bodied and medium sweet, with a clean, mineral finish. An elegant and refined sweetie that is very much like a delicate Sauternes. Armit Wines

TASTING NOTES

Brilliant, intense, rich and unctuous, this combines undoubted class with a little flamboyance too. Notes of peach, nectarine and sherbet with enough acidity to counter the sweetness, overlaying a deep, layered core and a mineral streak on the finish. This has you could possibly want from a top Sauternes. Chapeau to Lur-Saluces. Drink 2015-2030+. 18.5
