Tasting Notes

The 2012 Chateauneuf de Pape from Clos Saint Jean is a blend of 60% Grenache, 15% Syrah, 15% Mourvedre and 10% mixed. This is a medium-body wine showing a lovely inviting nose of young red fruit, with hints of strawberries, licorice and good spice on the palate. Really opens up in the glass as it is swirled and shows its various layers.
