Tasting Notes

Winemaker Trey Fletcher is creating texturally tantalizing wines that are exciting to sip now but built to last for years in the cellar. This shows lemon blossom, lemon skin, almond and macadamia scents, with a chalky minerality that's evident even on the nose. Racy, laser-focused acidity frames the palate, where lime, grapefruit and apple flavors unfold. Drink now through 2024.

Reviews & Scores

The production of this wine was 280 cases. It is made from grapes grown on vines that were planted in 1973. Light yellow gold in color the wine has a deep perfume that is faintly exotic with hints of pineapple and floral undertones. It has gorgeous fruit with exotic tinges and a faint underlying tinge of citrus. Balanced with a nice underlying crispness this is a lovely Chardonnay – Outstanding Plus.

TASTING NOTES

The 2013 vintage was very difficult vintage to manage, with a heavily reduced crop after the hail. This superb White Burgundy has a lovely perfume, and very Puligny-Montrachet in style. The really heightened fruit and exciting aromatics dance across the palate. This is a marvellous wine from a master winemaker and will be excellent to drink now after a short...

TASTING NOTES

Temptingly elegant bouquet of melon and pineapple-led fruit with pleasing wafts of hawthorn. The palate is balanced with well-gauged acidity rounded off by a lingering finish. One of the most food-flexible wines. Serve with vegetable veloutés and soups or fish.Armit Wines
