Chilean coastal Chardonnays have a distinctive flavor, and EQ is a shining example. Yellow-green in color, it presents a ripe profile (14% alcohol). Oak-aged (18% new) for 12 months, it displays an aromatic core of toasted hazelnuts, corn and green apple. The palate reflects the work done with the lees to achieve the proper fattiness and slight lactic acidity, which combine with buttery flavors. A balanced texture is held together by a precisely calibrated freshness.
