A notch up in intensity from its Haut-Lieu sibling; pink grapefruit and bergamot vie for attention here. This Clos du Bourg Moelleux is so complex and thrilling, it envelopes the senses in orange blossom, patisserie, melon and spice. If it weren’t for the fantastic acidity, the concentration here would be almost liqueur-esque in depth, but that nervy energy comes through on the finish and leaves one thirsty for more.
RS 57 g/l. Peach and apricot yoghurt, lovely floral character, medium-bodied palate yet with loads of fleshiness and generosity from the sweetness. 12%. Drink 2018-2028
