Scores

Bright green-gold; first tasted in Sept ?07, and my tasting note finished with the words ?a classic in the making? and so it now is; honey has now joined the honeysuckle, spice and mineral of the 6-month-old wine; the balanced acidity is of key importance.? Score: 95 Points James Halliday

Tasting Notes

The Museum Release Marsanne has intense and heady aromas of nuts, toast, honeysuckle and orange blossom. The palate is mouthfilling and intense with layered flavours of toasty notes, marmalade, honey and lingering nutty flavours. The acidity is still bright and refreshing. Delicious drinking now, but this wine will continue to age for another 8-10 years.

ProducerTahbilk

With vines dating back to 1860, Tahbilk is one of the oldest established wineries in Australia. Based in a lakeland area of Victoria, which cools the climate somewhat, this terroir is ideal for the grapes of the Northern Côtes du Rhône - particularly white Marsanne and red Syrah/Shiraz. See More
