When Claudio Fenocchio succeeded his father, Giacomo, at the helm of the family business in 1989, the debate between modernists and traditionalists in Barolo was at its height. He chose a third path, often described as radical traditionalism. His wines are renowned for being impressively approachable in their youth, while continuing to improve with age. Claudio represents the fifth generation of the Fenocchio family, crafting elegant, authentic Barolos that capture the spirit of his vineyards.
