One of the most fascinating white wines from Piedmont. Chardonnay is vinified alongside Nebbiolo, both sourced from the family’s Pira vineyard in "Barolo. Nebbiolo is vinified with no skin contact, but the grape lends the wine its complex texture and length. Buttery notes are complemented by orchard fruit and hazlenuts. "The 2020 Barolo Villero offers up scents of pipe tobacco, spice, new leather, menthol and licorice. This is a pretty elegant, translucent style for the Villero, but one that works quite well.
