This is a surprisingly fresh and lithe Chassagne, albeit from one of the very best premier crus. The nose is pure and fresh with notes of spring flowers, fresh nettles and a gooseberries. The palate shows the nice weight typical of Morgeot with a good concentration of apricot and green apples, a hint of ground allspice with some flint and toast in the finish. All-in-all, a very pretty wine. Drink from 2014.
