Tasting Notes

Initially reluctant, with air this releases notes of buttercups and summer meadows with a leesy character in the background. Steadily, apple and melon notes come forward too, a calm and orderly progression. On the palate, we see richness and a little fat for the first time, reminding you that we are on the Meursault border. The wine fills the mouth but the acidity keeps it defined and shapely. Drink from 2016.

Today, her nephew Brice de La Morandière - who has had a successful career running multinational companies - continues her philosophy of organic, biodynamic viticulture, bringing Chardonnay grapes to their best possible expression in Grand Cru and Premier Cru climates, where the terroir has been restored to health by natural practices.
