Scores

The 2010 Gewurztraminer has a beautifully fragrant nose of lychees, frangipani and allspice with a touch of honeyed pear. Full-bodied, richly fruity and with a pleasant oiliness to the texture, it has a suggestion of sweetness (11 grams per liter of residual sugar) with refreshing acid to balance, finishing long. Drink it now to 2014. Score: 90 Lisa Perrotti-Brown

Tasting Notes

This wine has the classic varietal notes of rose petals, fresh lychee and a hint of ginger. The palate is more textural and is mouth-coating with orange blossom, toasted almond and vanilla bean flavours and a spicy dry finish. Drink now until 2016.

ProducerSeresin Estate

Inspired by Michael Seresin’s own connections and interests, the Seresin Estate are a new world winery with an old world approach - they are in no hurry when it comes to their wines. They let the wild yeasts that live in their vineyard ferment the grape juice into wine. Working this way takes a little more time, but achieves wines with added savouriness and with more mouth watering textures and flavours. They also show a unique sense of place. Seresin Estate let all their wines spend time in barrel or bottle before release. It's true what they say, good things come to those who wait. See More
