Tasting Notes

Deep, rich and boundless on the palate with aromas of truffles, earth, red fruit, cherries, plums and herbs. The intense concentration is the ideal balance between rich aromas and tannins which complement each other perfectly. This will be excellent come 2011 but will continue to delight for at least two decades more. A stunning wine and one that will be remembered as a highlight of 2004.

Reviews & Scores

The 2004 Lafleur is unquestionably a candidate for the wine of the vintage. Boasting extraordinary intensity and richness as well as complex notes of kirsch liqueur, raspberries, truffles, and earth, this rich, full-bodied effort is atypically expansive and deep for the vintage. Dense, smoky, and impressive. Drink: 2010 - 2030. Wine Advocate, June 2006 Robert Parker 93-95 Robert Parker
