Tasting Notes

This wine has an intense, dark purple colour with a violet rim. This Syrah is intense with a good expression of terroir and elegant notes of pepper, wet earth, meat, spices, chocolate and delicate violet notes. The palate shows a perfect balance of fresh, zesty acidity and soft sweet yet intense tannins. Well balanced and full-bodied.

Reviews & Scores

My red wine of the year is a thing of wonder, proof that Chile can produce Syrahs to rival the best of the northern Rho?ne. Sourced from Rosario and made with clones 174 and 400, this comes from two specifically selected blocks. Inky and intense, with lavender, cracked pepper and incense aromas, it’s meaty, savoury and beautifully balanced. The oak is finely judged, the finish long, rich and satisfying. Bravo! Drink from 2019-30.

TASTING NOTES

A vivid mid-ruby, dried rose petal and balsamic scented reserva, still showing vibrant raspberry fruit and fresh acid. Chocolate-coated cherry character with hints of vanilla, but in a far more restrained way than in classic Rioja wines. Superb structure with ripe, fine-grained tannins and a tar-like grip towards the end of the long finish. Armit Wines
