TASTING NOTES

A country like no other is synonymous with fine wine. France is a dazzling collection of terroirs, styles and price points. Too many to mention, France is home to some of the most recognisable and loved wine regions in the world. Having defined and helped shape some of the finest wine regions in the world, it is undeniable that France’s influence extends far beyond its regional boundaries. While classic regions like Bordeaux, Burgundy or Champagne, amongst others, continue to be the standard-bearer of fine wine production, the country is also rediscovering some of its lesser-known regions. The recent success of Provence, the Loire or the South West, testifies to the diversity, richness and heritage of winemaking in France.

Refined and powerful with seductive, spicy aromas of redcurrants and sweet bramble fruit. On the palate, deep plum and cassis fruit characters combine with elegant wild herb notes and a refreshing mineral finish. This wine will be approachable in a few years but will age well for a decade. Drink from 2015.
