FRANCE

A country like no other is synonymous with fine wine. France is a dazzling collection of terroirs, styles and price points. Too many to mention, France is home to some of the most recognisable and loved wine regions in the world. Having defined and helped shape some of the finest wine regions in the world, it is undeniable that France’s influence extends far beyond its regional boundaries. While classic regions like Bordeaux, Burgundy or Champagne, amongst others, continue to be the standard-bearer of fine wine production, the country is also rediscovering some of its lesser-known regions. The recent success of Provence, the Loire or the South West, testifies to the diversity, richness and heritage of winemaking in France.

Darker plum characters open up in the background and this is balanced by mouthwatering freshness and refi ned, almost seamless tannins. A superb wine with wonderful...

TASTING NOTES

A happy marriage of white peach, a little dried apricot and a nourishing splash of cream. There is nothing excessive here though, the wine possessing electricity that courses through it, keeping it perky and vital right through to the finish. Drink from release.
